May is Mental Health Month
During May, Aurora joins the national movement to raise awareness about the importance of mental health. Aurora is proud to provide a variety of mental health resources, activities, and thoughtful ways you can take part in Mental Health Month, even while practicing social distancing!
Supporting Mental Health Through COVID-19
In February of this year, The Arizona Department of Health Services confirmed the first case of a new Novel Coronavirus, known as COVID-19, in our state. As a result, we are heeding to the recommendations of the CDC to reduce the likelihood of the spread of the virus in our facilities, fulfilling our mission to provide a safe, comfortable environment for all those seeking our care.
Everyday Heroes
As 2019 begins, the campaign to address the growing number of mental health challenges in the First Responder community is in full swing. With that in mind, on January 26th Aurora Behavioral Health System and the Chandler Regional Medical Center (CRMC) ED Wellness Committee hosted a first of its kind event called Everyday Heroes. It was an event to honor, provide education and resources to all the brave men and women who respond to crisis situations/events in our community.
Stand Up For Recovery a National Recovery Month Event
Aurora Behavioral Health and Awakening Recovery Center are honored to co-host this year’s National Recovery Month Event: STAND UP FOR RECOVERY. This event will bring together communities, families, health care providers, 1st responders, members of the media, and policymakers highlighting the various entities that support recovery within Arizona.

Who: Everyone! Family Friendly Event
4th Annual International Overdose Awareness Day
This event will bring together community advocates, harm reduction, local leaders, overdose survivors, families, and friends who have lost loved ones, all with the goal to save lives in Phoenix and in the state of Arizona.
