Detox and Addiction Recovery Programs

Aurora Behavioral Health System’s Addiction Recovery Programs are for adults 18 and over requiring detoxification and treatment for alcohol and drug addiction while learning to cope with a chemical addiction. Treatment consists of a period of detoxification in which the patient receives medical care during withdrawal from alcohol and/or drugs.

ect treatment

ECT Treatment

Electroconvulsive Therapy, or more commonly referred to as ECT, is most commonly used to treat depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia (unresponsive to Clozapine) when other ongoing treatment has not worked, including medications and talk therapy. ECT is a medical procedure performed by a qualified psychiatrist, anesthesiologist and ECT nursing team.

Aurora Behavioral Health System proudly offers specialized group equine therapy integrated within our inpatient and outpatient programs as a part of our holistic treatment approach to healing. Equine Therapy is an evidenced based approach where patients feed, groom, and otherwise interact with horses in order to reach rehabilitative goals.
