The Release Process at Our Hospitals in Tempe and Glendale, Arizona
How Do You Know When My Loved One’s Ready to Leave Aurora Arizona?
The needs of your loved one determine their length of stay. Our wellness plan involves:
- Assessing their progress and current needs
- Working with the treatment team who look at the physical, mental, emotional, and medical stability of their actions
- Adjusting the program as required
- Determining the optimum treatment time
All of this allows us to establish the best possible time for discharge.
What’s the Release Process?
To be discharged, your loved one will need to meet with every member of their treatment team. They’ll review and discuss:
- Ongoing medication (these are prescribed by the physician to support their recovery efforts, if necessary)
- Retrieving belongings
- Self-regulation skills
- The discharge plan – which includes further appointments for ongoing treatment and other follow-up care
They will also meet the dedicated team in the business office to run through information relating to insurance benefits and treatment costs.
What Follow-Up Care Can They Expect?
We highly recommend our day program (Partial Hospitalization Program) and outpatient group therapy (Intensive Outpatient Program) to provide that much-needed step down from their inpatient treatment.
By embarking on this continued treatment at Aurora Arizona, it helps maintain success and ensure a long-term recovery.
Follow-ups with physicians, psychiatrists, and individual therapists are also recommended, with these appointments being set up before they’re discharged.
