Based on the recommendations of both the CDC and Governor Ducey, Aurora will be eliminating visitations to our facility effective March 16, 2020 until further notice to ensure our patients, your loved ones, receive the best care possible in a facility that takes their health seriously. In order for our patients to still communicate with family members and loved ones, patient visitation hours will occur via phone and have increased in duration.
Additionally, all patients and staff members are screened daily for signs and symptoms of COVID-19, as well as undergo a temperature check before entering the hospital. Any staff members with a temperature reading over 100.4 degrees will be sent home until they can be medically cleared to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.
Finally, our staff take dedicated time each hour of the day at a minimum to sanitize their work stations, patient areas, and to ensure vigilant hand-hygiene practices. Our Social Services team will coordinate with Outpatient Providers and family members to ensure coordination of care continues and is not hindered.
We thank you for your understanding and assistance in reducing the spread of this virus and for working with our hospital as we make changes to ensure the safety of all those who come through our doors.
