Summer Program for Teens

Aurora Behavioral Health System’s summer program for teens offers structured therapeutic treatment to address teen behavioral health issues. These issues include anxiety, depression, self-harm, poor social skills, and substance use.

At our summer program, teenagers between 13 and 17-years of age will focus on identifying what triggers their feelings and behaviors, developing new coping skills, improving communication, and increasing social skills. These skills and strategies will help each teen manage challenges that they face in their home, school, and community.

Using a group model, teens follow a structured curriculum that incorporates learning outcomes for emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, peer collaboration, distress tolerance, and goal setting. These learning outcomes help address our therapy goals for each teen.
